Albazian Law Partners with GaragePass

Albazian Law is now the personal injury partner of GaragePass, the community DIY auto shop in East Oakland. GaragePass members who are hurt in a car or motorcycle crash can now request a free consultation with attorney Yusuf Al-Bazian, listed among the shop’s member perks.

About GaragePass

GaragePass is a membership-based DIY auto shop at 950 77th Avenue in Oakland. Members book lift time, use the shop’s tools and equipment, and work on their own cars and motorcycles, from oil changes and brake jobs to engine and transmission swaps.

The shop also runs classes and events and a members’ Discord where people trade advice, parts, and build progress. It serves car people from across the Bay Area, with a San Jose location on the way.

What this means for GaragePass members

If you are a member and you have been injured in a crash, you can speak directly with Yusuf about what happened. There is no cost for the consultation and no obligation to hire the firm.

  • A conversation with the attorney himself. You talk with the lawyer who would handle your case, not an intake call center.
  • No attorney’s fee unless there is a recovery. Albazian Law handles personal injury cases on a contingency basis.
  • Someone who understands the vehicle side. Damage, repairs, aftermarket parts, and a build’s value are part of the conversation, not an afterthought.

Members can reach the firm by phone at 510.918.2076 or through the consultation request form. Mention that you are a GaragePass member.

Why this partnership

GaragePass is an Oakland business built around people who take their vehicles seriously. Albazian Law is an Oakland firm built around people who have been seriously harmed. The overlap is natural.

People who work on their own cars often know more about the mechanics of a crash than the adjuster on the other end of the phone. They still face the same insurance process everyone else does, with the same deadlines and the same pressure to settle quickly.

“I’m a car guy myself. I’m a GaragePass member, and I work on my Bronco there. If someone in this community gets hurt, I want them to have a straight answer from a lawyer before an insurance company tells them what their claim is worth.”

— Yusuf Al-Bazian, Esq.

If you are hurt in a crash

A few steps in the first days protect both your health and your claim.

  1. Get medical care, even if the injury seems minor.
  2. Report the crash and get the report number.
  3. Photograph the vehicles, the scene, and your injuries before anything is repaired or moved.
  4. Keep repair estimates, receipts, and records of any parts or modifications on your vehicle.
  5. Be careful with recorded statements to the other driver’s insurer until you understand your options.

California deadlines can be shorter than people expect, especially for claims against a city or other public agency. Our guides on what to do after a car accident in Oakland and California’s filing deadlines cover these steps in more detail.
