## The attorney

Yusuf Al-Bazian was born in Oakland and raised in the East Bay (Oakland,
El Sobrante, Berkeley). He attended Berkeley High School and UC Berkeley
(B.A., Rhetoric & French, 2020), earned his J.D. from the University of
California College of the Law, San Francisco (2025), and is admitted in
California and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of
California. Before law school he handled catastrophic injury claims at
plaintiffs' firms in California and Georgia; he then practiced at an
Oakland-based national plaintiffs' firm, working on class actions, mass
torts, and personal injury matters. He serves on the board of the
National Lawyers Guild's SF Bay Area chapter and Public Justice's Access
to Justice Committee, co-founded the National Plaintiffs' Law
Association, and founded Muslim Legal Connect.
